In early September Sue and I went to Cannon Beach, Oregon for the Labor Day weekend. At that time of the year the elk start to come down from the hills for better feeding grounds. Often, they will hang around all day. They let you get very close and the opportunity to photograph the beautiful animals in natural surroundings is plentiful.
The weather was beautiful and as you can see it was warm enough to be in shirtsleeves.
Actually, we had Sue's mother, Birdie, who is 94 and one of our daughters, Camille and her husband , Greg stay with us for the whole weekend. It is so quite and relaxing to listen to the ocean and watch all the natural wonders of the area.

Hi Sue,
I talked with you last year before you went to South Korea to teach. I love seeing you on Create TV twice a week but now you are not on. It is March 15 and pray that you will return soon. I love your paintings and teaching. You are the best and know that I have learned so much from you!
I would love to meet you someday and take classes. I've only been painting for a short time and can't thank you enough for being such a special artist and inspiration.
And your husband is so nice to talk to, too... love his photography!
Please let me know when you will be on TV again!
